Players Practicing

Our Intense Tennis Camps fully use Slippery Rock University's 12 outdoor tennis courts (6 lit and resurfaced, 8/07), 6 cts at nearby Grove City College, and various w. PA-area indoor courts in case of extended inclement weather. Campers may also use other SRU recreational facilities such as basketball, badminton, swimming pool, sand volleyball, and rock-climbing all associated with The Rock athletic complex. Tennis pro-shop items are offered in addition to racquet stringing and repair service.

Campers are housed in AIR-CONDITIONED, TWO-PERSON, RESIDENTIAL SUITES, supervised at all times by coaching staff and counselors. All-you-can-eat meals are provided in the newly-refurbished Boozel Dining Hall. Supervised activities include local attractions, Moraine State Park, cultural Pittsburgh, Fun Fore All in Cranberry, PA, the Grove City Outlet Mall, and professional baseball games, including the Slippery Rock Sliders.

Founded in 1889 and located on a beautiful, historic campus spreading over 600 rolling acres in scenic Butler County, Slippery Rock is close to Pittsburgh and the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport. With easy access, Slippery Rock is a safe, vibrant community with Erie 75 miles north and Youngstown, Ohio just 35 miles west. I79 and I80 are a short drive from the campus.
